Parliament composition

The bars show the current distribution of seats in parliament, or in the lower house where parliament has two chambers.

Colours indicate European Parliament groups where affiliated. The small squares show party positions on four axes; where scored, they also set the bars' left-to-right order. Select a bar to jump to its party below.

Compare parties with another country: fewer points of difference across the four position axes mean a closer match.

The profile covers governing parties; where available, the switch adds supporting parties. The position chart shows the included parties' range of views.

Monthly support

The bars show average party support in the selected month and the change from the previous month.

The pollster filter affects both charts. If polls list different parties, select one or more comparable combinations using the checkboxes.

Expand seat allocation below the bars to model the displayed support. It uses the country's allocation rules and regional patterns from a previous parliamentary election. Regional differences are retained even where the actual election has no districts, so other district-based methods can be explored. Change the method, threshold or seat count; move parties or combine them into coalitions. A coalition adds their support and can change the seat result under some rules. These are scenarios, not forecasts.

Browse recent polls, with fieldwork dates, pollster, sample and source shown alongside each chart when available.

Changes in support are compared with the previous poll by the same pollster when available. Undecided respondents are excluded and results are rescaled to a 100% base, making polls with different undecided shares easier to compare.
